Sorry if you’ve been trying to email us!

We’ve recently discovered our email set-up for all ‘’ adresses was filtering pretty much everything as spam, so we haven’t been receiving emails!

We’re REALLY sorry if you’ve been feeling ignored – we didn’t mean to! Please feel free to re-send any messages you didn’t get a response to and we will try our best to actually get back you this time!

Sorry again – we should be more on top of the situation from now on!

Thanks for a great June Assembly!

Hi there, thanks for a great Assembly

That’s right, we’re thanking you because every part of Sunday Assembly only works if we have people to share in it with us. And also I totally didn’t think we were going to pull off Everybody by Backstreet Boys, but we totally did.

As discussed we’ve got loads of things happening between this Assembly and the next, but first, it’s probably worth pointing out the easiest place to follow us on the internet;

Our Facebook page can be found here –
You can Subscribe to all our events by going to Events in the middle, and then Subscribe

Our site can be found here –

Finally, for our super slick website, you can go to
You can get all the events on there straight into your internet enabled calendar by going to Diary and following the instructions there – there’s also a new forum for those not wanting to get involved in Facebook!

Finally finally, we’ll try and keep you abreast of things by emailing you on this email address so keep an eye out. If you don’t have an email address how are you reading what I’m typing right now?

Right, the pre-amble is over, let’s see what exciting things we have this month.

First things first on the 12th of June, we have an exciting display of new Mexican food, which I’ve been assured is better than old Mexican food. On a more serious note, it’s in Pembroke Road, BS3 8EG, starting at 16:00. Email us if you’re planning on attending because we’ll need to give you the full address

Second things second, week after that (19th) we have our Film Club. Reply back to this email if you have an idea for a film we could watch on the theme of All Together Now. It’s at Bundy’s Bar in Clifton at 17:00

We heard a lot about things going on this month in the notices as well. – is a new social network that helps communities make a noise about local projects they care about, and helps brands and organisations listen and understand how they can give support.Companies and brands search for projects where their money, expertise and employees can make a difference. And that means we can match them up to do good stuff together. If you’re based in the UK and you’ve got a project, or if you’re a brand/business owner looking to support the communities you operate in, head over to to take a look.

Currently, Neighbourly are trying to get a lot of volunteers out there with their work with M&S,more info on their website – “Did you know there are an estimated 91 languages and dialects spoken in Bristol? While language can sometimes act as a barrier, food is a universal language that can bring people together. 91 Ways celebrates the rich flavours and traditions of food from different cultures by sharing our dishes, recipes, and stories together and connecting with each other.”

91 Ways next activity is a group meal covering the flavours of Iran, which is VERY similar to our Culture Club but we’ll let this one slide

That’s everything for now, but if you have any ideas about what could make Sunday Assembly, FUNday Assembly, do get in touch.

This is Chair of Sunday Assembly Bristol signing off,

Please wait!

There is no Plan and Chat on Thursday 2nd April!
There is no assembly on Sunday 5th April – the next is Sunday 12th April!

We don’t often talk about religion at Sunday Assembly as there are so many other exciting things to talk about in the world. But we live in a society shaped by a Christian heritage. What this has to do with the price of fish is that this weekend is Easter Sunday, which is why the assembly has been moved to next Sunday (12th). It will be all about science, and will be excellent*.

* we can prove this with science
